Fuel cell power
(Preview)
Has anyone ever see any articles of fuel cells being powered by LPG to allow batteries to be float charged. I realise if it takes a converter to get the AC to run a smart charger may be a little inefficient but I'm prepared to cope with that. If of course it will charge a 12 volt battery direct all the better....

12V / 240V fridges

Hi everybody, I hope I am not starting something that has been well tested over the years. I have used an Engel for the past 15 years, and it finally wouldn't do much under 3/4 degrees, so after a bit of a look around I picked up a 60l Primus. I am quite impressed with build quality, stainless steel but a...

Do I need a 12V system?

Hi All, I have bought an old caravan which has a couple of 240V lights, a 240V domestic fridge and a few 240V sockets. My initial thought was to be independent and convert to 12V with a 3 way fridge, 12V lighting etc etc. I looked at deep cycle batteries, chargers, inverters and even solar panels. The cos...

Can anyone tell me if the Wyngard add-on, 'the wingman' is worth the money. Close to a city I get all the digital and analogue signals. In the bush I pick up weak analogue signals.
