Tyres

Hello All,

I have just replaced a set of Bridgestone tyres on the Pajero after 67,000 klms. They were the original Japanese ones. I am told by the dealer that the Japanese tyres wear a lot better than the others. Anyone else had a good run on these?

Regards,

Magnarc

I replaced a set of Bridgestones because they developed flat spots ... but that was 200,000km ago.

Have since used 2 sets of Coopers  .. great performance.

Considering the age of the Patrol & my likely future vanning, I just fitted some 'mid range' tyres.

Chose deep south redneck USA 'General Grabbers' HTs.  Look good & right price.

If I was fitting to a newish vehicle I would go for Coopers or similar top of range HTs.

It's all a lottery IMO.

The original tyres on my Pajero lasted just over 43,000 klm and I then replaced them with Coopers A/T which were good for 81000 klm I have recently replaced these with Pirelli Scorpion A/T having read an article that compared a very wide range of A/T tyres rating Pirelli as the overall best A/T tyre and I was told should be good for at least 80000 klm they are definitely a better ride tyre and are considerably quieter than other brands I have used.
