Toyota has issued an urgent recall for thousands of cars after a potentially dangerous fault was discovered in one of its most popular models.
Some 16,996 Hilux Rogue utes built between May 29, 2020 and April 8, 2024 have been flagged over concerns about its roller-shutter motors.
The notice warns that it could become stuck, preventing it from opening or closing properly and leaving the motor running, which could cause it to overheat.
The Japanese carmaker is urging owners to bring their vehicles to a Toyota dealer so the vehicle can be inspected.
