Camp conditions after rain
(Preview)
Would welcome comments regarding ground conditions in general locale central Queensland especially.
Are they mudholes or easily negotiable without sinking in the ground. Same for grassy vanparks. ????

Trailerjack Release Valve stuck
(Preview)
The release valve seems to be stuck when I attempt to lower the van. I have managed to release it before and the van came flying down to the ground! Not good at all. Any advice on how to slowly lower it will be great. Cheers

Can anyone recommend a good quality (even smart) 12volt TV for use in a 24' caravan. I have been told that the brackets are universal. I live in Perth WA. A...

Off road or on road rig?
(

)
(Preview)
All of a sudden there seems to be heaps of off road vans around. some big 22 footers that are as high as a block of flats, and not cheap to buy new. I tow at about 90kph and they go past me like I'm nailed to the fence. They seemed to have a very high centre of gravity, surely that wouldn't enhance stability? I on...

Insurance quirks - beware

In a conversation with my insurance agents it was mentioned while discussing General Contents and excess' that a problem may be with vans that have say 3 solar panels and are smitten by, say, hail - the three panels may attract the per item maximum (in my case $700) collectively - so I would only get $70...
