Security might be an issue with free camping

A few km heading out east of BH on the main road. Stayed there a couple of nights in 2019. The main road was very quiet at night so managed to sleep without any issues. There were about half a dozen other vehicles.

Council has built a campsite with toilets and hot showers, gas barbecues and outdoor kitchen, just 12km out of town. Has 15 unpowered sites and cost is $10/night. Cheers

Try Penrose Park out at Silverton, basic bush type camping with or without power only about 20km out.
An interesting place to look around with a pub!

If you are going out to see the Sculptures this is a good place to stay.

That's the one Alan! Great reviews with no apparent negatives except one incident with a drunken traveller! Cheers

Some places where people ask get pretty busy and full at times ? I find free camping just out of popular spots till you work out where & what is available ! I learnt long ago not to ask at info centres? Best ask one of the locals ? Or council worker out of office ? So its unofficial !! They know places !!! Unless you want to pay ?

So the Starview Camping site is $10 per adult per night, that means $20 per night for two people, of course. Plus the $6 per person park entry fee for the first night....Just want to confirm, please?
