Floriade caravan park

We are looking at going to Floriade in Canberra this year and was wanting to know of a good caravan park within easy drive, was hoping to book this week

The price of CP in Canberra will make your eyes water but this park is totally new and normally about $50 a night. That will change for Floriade. Staying in Queanbeyan is a better option in my opinion.......www.canberrapark.com.au/

Exhibition park in Canberra works for me. Close to all that Canberra has to offer and easily accessed.

From exhibition park a tram runs past the gates. At the city stop it is an easy walk to the Floriade site - you will walk about three times that distance around the Floriade display.

Edit: PS added.

PS: The Exhibition Park In Canberra is known locally as EPIC.

I seem to remember that EPIC and the new caravan Park are just across the road from each other although the CP is just that little bit tighter away. The road is called Old Wells Station Road or something like that.

Bungendore it good, have stayed there. Only problem is that it is some five kilometres from the town, but that gives it a nice quiet setting.

The Lake George Hotel in the town has excellent meals. If you are into custom furniture check out the furniture shop in the town. Made by local wood 'artists' each piece is truly a work of art.

From Bungendore it is about 15 to 20 minutes to Queanbeyan, then 10 or so past the airport into Canberra. Of interest is that the road passes through a spur of the ACT, so you cross the border into the ACT, then back into NSW before entering Queanbeyan.
