Fred was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young 'pullets,' and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs. He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each b...

Does any-one know if The dog lady [Marianna] from the Baffle Creek area is OK ? She hasn't posted since the devastation in that area, and hasn't answered a couple of PM's either. Hope she's all right. Cheers, Sheba. -- Edited by Sheba on Saturday 23rd of February 2013 10:32:12 PM

A nice place to visit and cheap at $10 with power and has Flushing Toilet, Showers a Washing Machine but no phone access. There is 4k of dirt road but it was pretty easy going. I camped close to the dam edge without power (or phone/internet) and saw this nice sunset. more pics on my Blog soon.

Early this year we stayed at the Walcha CP (south of Armidale, NSW), and recommend it as the best CP we've come across in 2 1/2 years on the road - cleaner than any, immaculately tended, quiet, walking distance to the shops, and the ablutions even have underfloor heating (sorely needed in winter!).
