Not sure how this goes, so I will just get to it. My husband built this caravan from the chassis up. All aluminum framing, chassis and such. There are 2 slideouts oppsoite each other in the lving areas, making it roomy for the 2 recliners and the 3 seater lounge. There is a shower and toilets. Kitchen bench is higher than normal due to our heights. The 2 singles beds are also high but only to take advantage of more drawer storage underneath. The single beds are unusual in that one slides across for times of intimacy as required!

Actually we are going to Emerald toward the end of June for a few weeks camping...sssh I haven't told her yet as we might have to sneak past.
A friend has offered to teach us how to fish... can you believe that we don't know how to fish. We found shucking a line in with a worm did not work for us! There must be more to it than that! He had the gall to laugh at us!
We went fishing once with some Yolgnu Aborigines up in ArnhemLand and they used (one of our) steaks but unfortunately we must have scared the fish off that day because they were so surprised that they didn't get any. We had to share the rest of our fillet steaks with them ! LOL
I am taking plenty of steak with us just in case! LOL

Looking at the forum, there doesn't seem to be many people converting a bus into a motorhome here, past or present. Pity, we might have been able to encourage one another.

Hi Michelle you have an extremely talented husband, that's a van that anyone would be pleased to own and some manufacturers may be a bit envious of.
Thank you, I know my hubby is very clever. He doesn't think much of himself, mainly because he didn't do well at school. I keep telling him (as do others about both the caravans he has built and the bus he is converting).
What amazes me is that he does all these 'off the top of his head'. He never sits down and draws up anything. I know he spends time visualising something and working it out in his head until he sort of figures out how he is going to make something. You should see this cupboard he started before he did his back in. It is going t go above the bed - not the bed head but that normally wasted space directly above the bed. It is quite exciting. I have never seen anthing like it anywhere on the internet nor in magazines or caravan RV shows! I will post photos when it is done!

I have updated the blog to show that though not much appears to be happening, Rob is still making little steps of progress. It wont help that he has just hurt his back. let's hope that heals quickly.
