Hi All, just joined the Grey Nomad group, First Post. Have purchased a Jayco Poptop hooked it up to a Territory and set off to do some camping. As we enjoy meeting people we looked at some of the local free camp site on Northern NSW to try out all the bits and pieces in our van, and seeing as I was given a dash ca...

It's goodbye from me. If any of you have seen me on the road in the last six years and have waved, take this as my wave back. If you see the old Patrol again it is not now me. I have, for the forseeable future, gone off the road and back into whatever the opposite of a nomad is, back in NZ. I have increased their P...

Been reading through some American RV forums and found it interesting so far to find no mention of diesel heaters as we know it. They have all sorts of heat pumps, underfloor heating and others, but the good ol' diesel heater seems yet to be discovered by the mainstream. Diesel heating is quite cheap an...

I have a faulty fan which I am trying to remove, however getting the two retaining screws out is proving somewhat problematic. The screw heads will not protrude proud of the fan to enable me to pull / prise them out. I have previously taken the fan down and don't recall having any problems. Any ideas?...

Hi, May seem a silly question but is it OK to start cooling the fridge using the 12v option? Reason for question is that we cannot hook up 240v to cool fridge before we set off on a trip as it is parked in a storage yard. So when we hook up to the tug and drive off I would like to get the 12v working. I vaguely rem...

Traveling dog owners would do well to read this article on the ABC news site. There are moral as well as legal obligations involved. "Many people may be surprised to discover that a dog attack is actually classed as a property dispute, as dogs are considered personal property under the law as distinct...

Hi all. My name is Peter and my wife is Sharyn. We have just bought a 1974 Coronet 16 foot caravan. Long story short is that we are permanently looking after our 7 year old granddaughter and we want to get her out and about and do some exploring instead of looking at an ipad all day. So now I ....we have a job ah...

After the comments from some on here re Boost not being a part of Telstra I would like to produce a receipt from Boost that I paid from my PayPal account for a prepaid mobile sim and service. This is from yesterday Friday 19th January 2018. As you may note Telstra clearly is the "merchant" and the service i...

Just read in the reviews on WikiCamps about the people who are overstaying in the Cann River Free park there. These are the sort of people that get these places Closed Down. It reads that they have taken over the area and unfortunately nothing gets done until it's too late and the rest of us then miss out o...
