Some time back, maybe a year or so, it was mentioned there was a free camp in Bundaberg. Somewhere near a park in a back street. I'm thinking it might have been the park they call the Swamp. I have searched on here for the thread with no luck. How do you get more than three threads up when you go into search. A...

A great spot - lots of room, flushing toilets, cold showers unless you light the donkey heater. They were getting red claw while we were there - off Peak Downs Highway, from Mackay - turn right at the BP Junction - look for sign.

I recently spent a night at a lovely rest area off the main road and screened from traffic a few km north of the road leading in to Cannia Gorge. The Gorge is well worth some time, but $30 to park the van on an unpowered peice of grass was not on. However when my 79yo mother was asking the CP owner for the pr...

Gday... I was at the Jericho free-camp on the Jordan river for three nights last week. It is a really lovely, quiet and enjoyable camp. Most camp down right on and along the river where there is room for at least 20 vans. The camp area is very large and if not wanting to be close to the water, there is plenty o...

This is a great camping spot, especially if you can get down under the old railway bridge. The view over the Burdekin River is lovely and the river water is clean and clear.
