Fletcher Creek NQ

Fletcher Creek is another good camp spot at 42 klms north of Charters Towers.

Camping both sides of the creek on the south side and over the bridge on the right where the amenities block is located.

Its always "chockers" .. I've never seen less than 50 units there, although spread out well.

Would have been lucky to have a half dozen when we were there recently Jon....in off peak season though!

We arrived lunch time Sunday and there were some weekenders there who moved out on Sunday evening and left all their mess behind.

We cleaned it up the next day....was  not too hard to put it in the rubbish bins provided...don't know why they could not have done it.

I made a point of telling the fellow in the Info Centre about it so that the caravanners did not get the blame for the mess.

I also said what a great facility it was and how much we long term travellers appreciate places like this.
