I have a friend who needs to eat Gluten Free food. During experiments with various recipes we came across Buckwheat flour. Even if you are not into gluten free food try making pancakes with Buckwheat Flour. Use your favourite recipe and enjoy a nice change.

Not really a recipe - but a good way to keep lettuce crisp while travelling is to wrap it in newspaper, then store in the fridge. Amazing how long it will keep without going slimy.

When do you measure things? Before or after you cut them up. eg. 1 cup pecans,chopped 1 cup boiled lollies ,crushed. The quantity for these things is very different before and after chopping. I never know when to measure.

These are really easy to make and make a nice change from sweet scones. 1 cup SR flour 1 cup grated cheese cup milk Add chopped bacon or ham and/or finely chopped onion or chives or other herbs. Mix and put into muffin tins or patty cake if you want smaller ones. Bake in a moderate oven.
