Hi everybody. Can anyone suggest the quickest and safest camping ground route from Adelaide to Darwin please. We are new to travelling and have no solar. We prefer not to travel much more than 300k per day. Thank you.

I have bought a little JPod Outback and am on a steep learning curve. I have travelled and camped lots in the past but solo camping is a whole new adventure. So I am excited to have found this site. It takes me feel less alone. I would like to attach a photo to my posts as I see others have done, but can't see ho...

Any 'cheap' way to get some parts out of the States.

Hi I have been looking on flea bay for some parts for my old bike. They have a few things I could be interested in for a reasonable price. BUT the freight estimates are mostly more than or even double the item cost. What have you found as the answer. Some freight carriers or couriers must be more reasonabl...

SHOCK ABSORBERS ON A DUAL AXLE LEAF SPRING CARAVAN
(Preview)
Following a broken spring recently, after travelling on some fairly rough roads in my 2013 Retreat Brampton, I feel it a good idea to add shock absorbers to the multiple leaf springs. Seems a good improvement to me that can only help.? But maybe there is a reason it was not done in the first place other th...

Tyres for my Dual-cab

Hello everyone, I'm closing my list of tyres that I'm going to fit to our D-Max in the next couple of weeks. Has anyone had dealings with the Kumho Venture AT51? My short list at the moment is the Bridgestone Dueler 697LT (a respected tyre as I had three sets of them on our last GU Patrol), the Kumho, & t...

Stabiliser legs

I notice when looking around caravan parks that about half the caravans have the stabiliser legs vertical and half have them on an angle. We always put them on an angle because; a) back in the 1980's our family caravan had wind down legs which slowly rotated to make an angle with the ground, and b) the dea...

What a frightening ordeal to have to go through! This is a fascinating podcast of a couple's ordeal with hoons at a campsite. You must listen to it! The only problem I have with the podcast is the quietness of the host compared to the loudness of the guest speakers.
