There is no Mobile coverage of any persuasion at my property (Southern NSW) - so forced to have fixed line for emergencies - that fixed line had been out of order more than 10 months - Technical staff said "Working on it" - even ombudsman couldn't/wouldn't help.

Amateur Radio, Possum.

It will work from places iPhones and fixed lines can only dream about :)

And you'll make a whole bundle of new friends.
