POL VALVE PLUG - unsure

Hi, ive bought a dual POL valve extension for my gas bottle and a plastic threaded plug (POL valve plug ). Question is can i use this plastic threaded plug to block one side of the pol outlet while i have my camp stove connected to the other side. ive read all information i can find but it only mentions that i use the plug as extra measure to prevent a possible gas leak whilst travelling. Has any used the plug when the bbq hose is screwed in on opposite side. thanks.

I wouldn't. These plugs are used to keep dust etc out of the bottle valve during transit and to protect the valve thread. As far as I know they are not a pressure fitting and should not be used as such.
