Serena Millions & Nick Curious, who cares?

I duuno, perhaps its just me, but I don't reply to "Thanks in Advance" signed threads. I read that as the poster putting up their request, then having an excuse not to have any further input, in other words, you guys get out there and do all the research for me. I don't go into Bunnings, ask for assistance,...

I just saw a recall/ Warning about Simplicity axles by the ACCC. It does not state which manufacturers use the axles but they appear to be fitted to everything from Caravans to Horse Floats. It say there may be a problem with weld Penetration possibly allowing the axle to shear. May be worth a look to see...

Gday... I have no affiliation with this product ... and I have not seen one apart from on this website. I was told of it by someone who had heard of it ... but had yet to buy one. I pass it on for info only. http://www.winsig.com.au/ Cheers - John

Hi All. I have 2 questions regarding 12 volt to 240 volt pure sine inverters. Because of the physical size of the 1000 watt inverter, my plan is to have it portable and only attach it to the batterries when needed. Our batteries are on the chassis below the 240 volt caravan supply point. My first question...

Can anyone with experience tell me anything I haven't thought of about these two layouts (for a single person)? I'm considering two lighter weight Geist vans (my car has a 1600 kg limit for 20% slope, 1700 for 8%). Car is 1685 kg. 75kg ball load limit. AWD diesel. 135kW/380Nm. Gets 5.5 litres per 100km....

I have previously posted about a suspected water leak in my faithful old Westport after surviving torrential rain (remember that stuff) about a year or so ago. There was a spot of carpet near the bed that got wet but I couldn't find the cause. So I decided that it must be a roof to wall joint failure. So I...

I just purchased a Cobb cooker the stainless steel model and have now used it 3 times with only mediocre results First effort was chicken pieces and roast vegies, these i placed on a double tier wire rack, not directly on the plate above the heat as it seems that this plate would be very hot and would be pro...

A couple are out hiking when the man stops and asks: "Did you see that?". "No," the woman replies. "Well, a bald eagle just flew overhead!" the man exclaims. A few minutes later the man stops again and asks: "Did you see that?". "See what?" the woman replies. "Are you blind? There was a big black bear w...

Just installed a Redwater device - it diverts the cold water in your hot water pipes till the hot water gets to the device then fully opens the valve to deliver the hot water to your tap or shower - it depends where you locate the device in the plumbing! It is expensive, but saves you having to collect the co...

A teenager approached his grandmother nervously and asked her a question. Granny, have you seen a bottle of pills lying around? The label says LSD, he asked. The grandmother swung around quickly as the boy prepared to be scolded. To hell with the pills! Have you seen the dragon in the kitchen?!

Hi all, just recently I discovered that an Emergency App called (Emergency Aus) has been closed and no longer operating. This app was so comforting when travelling from state to state because it actually warned you with a chime when any dangerous situation like fires were approaching or you were ge...

Hi All, would like to see if we could get enough positive replys to add a pet sitting section on the forum ( following a talk with Admin). Thinking along the lines where people could enter places they are at and willing to do dog sitting for (a fee or swaps for fellow pet owners), you would just enter in what...

HI, I have 2 Exide Extreme (dual purpose) batteries in my Pajero, and use an umbilical cord to feed the Van when free-camping. I find that the charge rate of these 2 batteries is often not what I would like them to be, and I need to go for a drive each day to top up. I have no other way to charge. I have heard that...

If anyone has any helpful suggestions to selling a motorhome on consignment, would appreciate your feedback, IE: pitfalls of selling this way (we understand we have to pay the dealer etc, just do not have the time for people coming around etc to look at the Motorhome) Anything we should look out for wi...
