How Long.
(Preview)
I am in the midst of setting up the van up for 12 Volt. I 'm sure it is a personal thing and varies for everybody but can you give me some ideas please of what is perhaps the 'normal' number of days most 'nomads' 12 volt power supplies lasts for with their solar before they need to head for 240 volt? Freec...

Electric 12vDC screw jack and Masters generators.
(Preview)
Can any one tell me where to get a 12v screw jack to replace my jockey wheel? Not to actually replace it but to take its place during initial setup. I am continually having to remove my jockey wheel and reposition it to get enough height. The other day at work I saw an electronic screwjack fitted to a van and...

Spin dryer for caravan
(Preview)
Our Lemair 2kg washing machine uses a large (60L) amount of water and weighs 16kgs (empty). I'd like to remove it to save weight, then replace it with a big bucket to wash and then use a separate dryer to spin the water out of the clothes. I see a thread from a couple of years ago about "The Laundry Pod...

Shower light in Jayco Stirling
(Preview)
Hi, we have only just purchased our 2006 Jayco Stirling caravan, we haven't used it as yet, have only had it a few weeks. I notice that everytime I go inside, the light in the shower is on. We turn it off and the next time we go in, it's on again. Anyone know what the problem is?? Thanks.

Best van plug/socket?
(Preview)
I have a 12 pin flat plug/socket and - in spite of bridging two of the 30amp connectors for the fridge (2 +ve and 2-ve) and van battery charging - I still have pin discolouration from overheating after a few hours on the road. I am aware that an Anderson plug/skt would solve the problem but I would like to av...
