portable stove

I am looking for a camp type stove to run off the bayonet fitting on my van

it needs to initally have its own regulator so that it will run off the van regulator when the hoses are changed

i want a 2 burner stove with wind shield

We don't have bayonet fittings on our van so we use a twin burner hotplate setup purchased off the net.
Its powered by Butane cans one for each side and came with the two hotplate surrounds and a BBQ plate to go across the two burners.
My wife cant believe how hot it gets and how simple it is.
We can cook with it anywhere near or far from the van and it came with a hard plastic case and tongs and egg slice.
Cost us $49 but I think they might be about $65 now at BCF or similar.
Pack of 4 Butane cans is about $9 and we have had it about 2 years.

Yes John very similar to that except that it has notches in the top for the BBQ plate to slot into.
Great bit of kit.

Sorry Allan just thought I would show you an alternative.

I'm a fan of the butane double burner cookers.

I was on the look out for them for ages ago (this was several years ago) & finally settled for a UBeaut product at around $100.  It's a quality dual burner type with hotplate , tongs & slice, as well as place for spare gas cans, all in a hard plastic case.

I set it up 'permanently' at my campsite on a lightweight $25 aluminum slat type 1M square table with its plastic table cloth & protected by a plastic fabric BBQ cover.

I pack it with a couple of L shaped metal wind breaks & a flat plastic bottle of peanut oil (an old Bundy rum hip flask). Oh yes, I put in a couple of silicon egg rings & a silicon sheet to use over the hotplate if I feel like it (makes clean up easier, especially with marinated meat), as well as a handful of paper towels, a bit of alfoil & a large knife.

This is an excellent cooker but there are lots of much cheaper alternatives on the market these days.  You should be able to get an equivalent for around $50/$60.

I never pay more than $5 for 4 cans of gas.  Often around $4 at Big W et. al.

My old Primus two burner still sits in the shed gathering dust where it has been for more than a decade.  I used to use the single burner butane cookers & still have a back up kit similar to my Ubeaut package.  It sits permanently in the Patrol for use at morning teas or lunch BBQs when touring without the van.

However, when we camp with my Daughter, we always use her Baby Q.  Will be trying it on pizzas on the next trip.

Generally andy stove top that uses LPG will do the job for you and this is usually clearly marked on the packaging. The bayonet fitting from the stove to the caravan can be bought at any number of gas or barbeque outlets although I find mine a PITA to use and am considering moving to direct connection to a gas bottle.

Regards

Dave
