Diesel difficult to start when cold ...

We have a 1994 Toyota Landcruiser Diesel. Often we have to go through a long procedure of ignition on, wait, fire, ignition off, wait, ignition on, wait, fire up when she is cold. she once would tick over on first try ..... What should we check out .... any suggestions?

Chains 'n' Shackles

The safety chain on our 'van is a tad short and we currently use two D shackles to attach each chain to the tug. All shackles are rated 3.2T. Are we "legal"?? Or should we have the safety chains removed and longer attached?

How are the shower taps generally held on ? Is it just the tap cover ? The shower connection has come lose . I need to replace it . I'm not well designed for these tight areas .. Fitting new shower hose is easy they said !! Sheesh .
