Have a look at the data plate, and post up the model number. Or better yet, post a pic of the plate.

I will see if I can find it again , he got it off eBay and something buggered up , and the warranty was worthless , just be careful and look at feed back reports .
I buy stuff of eBay but really something like a generator , I buy from a shop and only brand name gear , Honda , Yamaha ect , it might cost a lot more but like they say buy once buy right .
IT COST US $629 INC POSTAGE PRICE NOW $729 i THINK but email him telling him you will take 1 for the old price
i buy a lot from ebay have not had any problems
have a look at 4,4 vFuji generator. it only has 1 outlet and remotes where the one we got, has 2 outlets plugs and no remotes thats the way we went
as far as we know they both come out of the same factory
keep in mind this is bigger than what it looks on ebay, and fairly heavy 28 kg if you are not fit or strong enough ,get one with wheels and handle hope this helps

update
i put the oil in, petrol etc ,followed the instructions pulled it once ,started first go so far so good,i got a drill from the shed started it no problem. the engine speed stayed the same, didnt even notice any increase in speed from the generator .Happy with it so far
how long it lasts WHO KNOWS ,but got a 12 month warranty if it keeps running i will never get a chance to find out how bad or good the warranty is .
I Know some members on this site don't like buying big ticket items like this from ebay. there's a risk involved i know
I Am in the building industry and bought a few tools from ebay never had a problem
EXAMPLE I bought a 3inch nail gun, a paslode clone chinese costs $300, thats less than half the price from ebay. looks cheaper ,feels cheaper ,BUT WORKS better than a paslode HAD IT 4 YEARS AND STILL GOING STRONG
