Awnings for the side of the truck off the rack


G/day

We are in the market for a truck roof rack  mounted awning for our Landcruiser 80 series ,have any of our knowledgeable nomads got some advice for a first time awning buyer

We got ours from ARB.

We then got the curtains that go around the awning before we went across the Simpson Desert.

Takes 4 minutes to put them up and same to take them down. Great tent.

Have you had a look at the Bat Wing awnings? They come out and go around for 270 degrees, a bit like 3/4 of a rotary clothes line! But it all depends on how you want to use the awning.

Thanks for the replys guys,yea Glen I like the look of the batwing one Oztent make it'd zip straight on our RV5 oztent,but I'd have to change the way I carry the tent on the rack,might have to go with the side mount version like the ARB one.
