Thetford oven not staying on .

have a Thetford gas oven in as new conditon, the 3 gas burners on top work fine , can light the oven grill but wont stay on as soon as I move knob to run position , I've tried holding it in and have actually used the grill by holding the knob in but still wont stay on.????
