After a hiatus of several years bought on by Covid and disposal of an ageing Toyota Coaster we are back into the fray, this time with caravan. Busy planning our first lengthy road trip up the East Coast from Warrnambool to somewhere between Hervey Bay and Cairns for middle of 2024. Pleased to be back on t...

Crossing WAs Horizontal Falls soon a thing of the past (9news.com.au) It was one of the best days out we had in the Kimberly and a highlight of our trip to WA . Included in the trip was a tour of the inlet telling us about the "history" of the place. I bet they won't ban that. You get a really good aerial...

A doctor that had been seeing an 80-year-old woman for most of her life finally retired. At her next checkup, the new doctor told her to bring a list of all the medicines that had been prescribed for her. As the doctor was looking through these his eyes grew wide as he realized Grandma had a prescription f...

Ok, I'm cheesed off and maybe I shouldnt be because we dont attend touristy places often. It all started years ago when a mate and I arrived at the 12 Apostles modern car park (we now live nearby in Camperdown) and eager to look we found we needed to pay an entry fee. We turned around. Funny enough there wa...

CSR Marco Ricciardi from Toronto police at a law and order news conference has advised all home owners to not use faraday pouches to protect your car keys. Rather, he advises car owners to leave their key fobs at the front door "because criminals only want your car keys" and this prevents them from bre...

SSD run too hot & de-throttle so they do not over heat, great, but irritating at times. The other issue is if you can run them cooler they apparently last longer. I've added heatsinks & Noctura 40mm fan (all spare bits I had) to the SSD. It now run at a reasonable temperature. P.S. I can't stan...

Hi, I am intending to take my Pajero and 18 Ft van from Kuranda to Cairns. I have driven it once without a van and remember it as being very steep. Is it advisable to do this with a van or is there an alternative route that I should be considering. Thanks in advance.

A 'vanning associate of mine has just sent me an e-mail - during the night they heard a bit of a bump and didn't think much of it. This morning, they are 15 meters from the cliff instead of about 50 where they were camped!!! The fall is about 150 long!!! Seems all the rain has softened the ground? WOW!! ...

Hi All, Now aiming to setup a van for offgrid use. Having completed our previous camper setup (12V solar, MPPT, DCtoDC, 240V charger, AGM battery) I am considering a new approach to the van. I was hoping to find out if anyone is using a 48V LiFePO4 DC setup with 240V inverter/bypass & solar input. ...
