Hi Everybody First of all, Happy Fathers Day to all out there- My wife and I hope to join all of you on the road within the year, as I'm being made redundant. But we're starting from scratch. No car, no caravan. So assuming a small van of 2,000kg maximum, what car should I get considering I'll use it as a...

I posted this in January and just come across it again............something to make you smile Cheers Bob

A husband and wife were celebrating their 50th anniversary: That night the wife approached her husband wearing the exact same sexy negligee she had worn on their wedding night. She looked at her husband and said. "Honey, do you remember this?" He looked up at her and said. "Yes dear, I do. You wore that...

A few days before his wife's birthday: Husband: Dear. "What would you like for your present?" Wife: "I really don't think I should say." Husband: "How about a diamond ring?" Wife: "I don't care much for diamonds." Husband: "Well then, how about a mink coat?" Wife: "You know I do not like furs." Husband...

Front axle weight y62. My 2018 Y62 has a sticker inside the engine bay that says do not exceed 85kg (weight) on front the axle. I have a roo bar and spotties on the roo bar which weights 75kg total. Whilst I do not plan to add any more permanent weight to the roo bar (or front axle) I see that some people have fr...

People often complain about the police, but you rarely hear about the positive things they do, such as this incident involving a biker and a frozen carburettor. Last year on a bitterly cold winter's day, a motorcycle cop on patrol came upon a motorcyclist who was stalled by the roadside. The biker was...

How can I win, Coles rip off the farmers on 10 cents a litre surcharge. Woolworths rip off employees on pay rates. Closest IGA has questionable shelf pricing issues. Aldi milk tastes like...t to me. Perhaps go back to black coffee and take calcium supplement?

hi, getting two new batteries but the battery posts are further apart than previous battery, so wires won't reach, also will be running them in parallel which would make the - even longer. What is the recommended fix for this? the exisiting battery has about 3-4 wires connected to each post. Is their...

Hi All We have just found an issue with our solar Remote Meter MT50 A fault messeged flashed on screen RPPFault. We hopefully will be buying our first caravan soon and have a mazda bt50 ute and also a truck.Wondering what peoples thoughts would be on using a truck to tow our caravan around on a full time basis or should we just use the ute.Appreciate all comments.

In our Discovery we have a big fat cable running through to the back with an Anderson plug we use to charge the 12v 100A battery in the back which either powers the boat winch or runs the fridge in the caravan when we are rolling. Our new car is a Mitsubishi Outlander and I probably won't have time to chase so...

2 months into it and still struggling to find 'that' van. If you want something with decent self-sufficiency, a smidge of luxury for long-term travelling, and decent weights the choices seem to come down to reasonable price (relatively) and shoddy quality, or nice quality and obscene price. As I ca...

I enjoy reading the blogs by different members on here and I marvel at the presentation of the information that you all willingly share with us. I am not computer savvy enough to have a website or a blog but quite often I make notes of things and places I read about and add them to a bucket list of visits. I ha...

We are looking for a 12v DC low wattage and silent fan for keeping the air moving on hot nights. We tried on of those water tank evaporative ones on our boat. Waste of money. We've also found that most dash fans are noisy. There is this, which claims to be silent: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-360-R...

I`m wondering if I'm alone in my journey. Short story: I presented to ED last week in extreme pain. Diagnosed with a blocked Bowel, and blocked Bladder. They eventually knocked me out with Ketamine, inserted a catheter, vacuumed my bowel, added a few stitches to repair damage, had a Spinal Block for p...
