There's a huge area so no problem with neighbours. :) except some friends are arriving tomorrow, so I hope they don't get unruly. Just kidding, they're good mates. It's $9 a nig...

Hi, We are a couple over from shaky old Christchurch NZ, touring around your beautiful Country. I was just watching a story on 60 minutes about Humpback Whales at Hervey Bay Q'land. They were saying the whales can be sighted in large numbers from June to late November each year. I was there a month ago for a couple of nights and was told don't bother spending my money on the trip out to see them as there...

Hi to everyone, just joined the Grey Nomads forum. My name is Peter (68) and wife Kate (66) and we live on the sunshine coast, Queensland. This topic maybe has been covered before, but I couldn't see a couple of points members may be able to help with. Firstly, and I think it will be ok, will our 2003 petr...

At 70, I'm still travelling, and wish to buy a postie bike to carry on the back of my Mazda T 3500. At present I am staying the tiny town of Coolah, which is about 140 K's north east of Dubbo, and about 80 K's south east of Coonabarrabran. Would like it to be in reasonably good condition, but not necessarily r...

G'day gas people. I bought a new gas regulator and hose but I need to get the old one off first. I've tried undoing the nuts with a pair of spanners but I can't shift them. Any suggestions or tips? I'm not sure about which way the threads go either. They appear to have been there a helluva long time.

To get a camp fire going quickly I use cotton wool balls with vaseline. Just rub petrolium jelly into cotton wool balls. Put them into a zip bag or storage container for future use. Really gets the fire started.

A very interesting 3 days it was. Yesterday a family came on for an overnight stay. They were in the biggest holiday bus I'd ever seen. It was an old Adelaide Transit bus. Twice as long with the concertina middle.I've got photos but can't upload them till I get home. Dad and a tribe of snotty nosed kids. Mu...
