Hi all Just a quick question. I have one of those small 1.5amp solar battery trickle chargers to keep up my van battery when it's parked at home. With no 240v connected to the van, but all wiring still on the battery, will it harm anything leaving the little solar charger on all the time? Or should I disco...

We are thinking of a sat phone when we hit the road permanently to be used only for emergencies. Would appreciate any advise from those who have one as to most cost effective and practicable way to go. Many thanks in advance, Ron.

As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that wearing a $1,000 or a $10 watch - - they both tell the same time. Whether we carry a $500 or a $50 wallet/handbag - - the amount of money inside is the same. Whether we drink a bottle of $100 or $10 wine - - the hangover is the same. Whether the house we liv...

I'm hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction for insurance of contents in a shipping container at a storage facility. I've phoned at least 10 insurers today and they've all said no. I'm starting to think that this is just something that isn't done. Anyone else in the same boat? C...

Gday all We have recently returned from a 3 week jaunt to Wilpena Pound and surrounds. Visited places like Glass Gorge, Parachilna, Leigh Creek and Lyndhurst. We actually did 200 meters on the Strzelecki Track.. lol The gorges were in full flower and the creeks had a flow of water. This is a truly magni...

Not going to Tassie till March next year but can't get my tom tom to come up with exact address. I put in Station Pier, Waterfront Place, Port Melbourne but it comes up with a different postcode. Correct postcode is 3207 but comes up with 371 something. It is a tom tom GO. Only bought it early this year....

I would like to convert a Toyota Coaster bus to a motorhome, and would like to know what I need to do in in terms of getting DOT approval to convert and what I can and cannot do do.

I'm planning on free camping and then leaving the van to explore locally but I'm not too sure if that's a wise idea. Would it be better, if I want to explore an area, to stay in a caravan park? What arer the security issues with free camping when you are away from the site?
