we recently stayed for a week beside the river water toilets dump point lots of kangaroos and wombats that scratch themselves under the van at night which was a bit scary the first night we where there heading there again in a couple of weeks also good fresh water fishing

just stayed a couple of nights at may,s bend ,outside of bourke in nsw. great spot beside the darling river ,take the mitchell hwy towards cunnamulla ,may,s bend is signposted . pop into the tourist info centre for a mudmap and they will give you all the info you will need .

Township of Bollon - turn into dirt road opposite fire station - heaps of room, beside creek - lovely walking track - old cemetary - toilets. 500m into town along walking track - hot showers, toilets, bins. Lovely and quiet. Some fish in the creek, abundant birdlife.
