Stayed at the above free camp 45 mins south of Taree the other day and what a find, very nice beside a river, no facilities at all so you have to be fully self contained, no signs saying time limits, Telstra cover was good.

A great spot, plenty of room. $10 a night. Hot showers, plug into power. You can even get the courtesy van from the local club to do pick up an drop off.Wortht staying just for the hot shower in winter.
