Don't know Ken but can you tell Lyn that little bird is still flitting around out there picking up the bugs. Stood right beside me while I was sweeping the other day.
Safe travels.

Stotts Island between the Tweed and Murwillambah - No. 1 in the NSW section of Camps - if you go there say hi to an old friend of ours - Mario - lives in an old Hi Ace there.

I like the New Italy Rest Area, flushing toilets around the back of the building. A museum and cafe there. I don't know of any actual free camps along that stretch, wish I did.

I also stay overnight at Yelgun RA quite often and spend the day touring the Brunswick area. Clean, well off the Highway and lots use it.

I would give Stotts Island a bmiss, unless of coarse you like mud and roosters crowing all night.  Carry on to Yelgun, you won't  be dissapointed. Good bbeach close by too.

Some of the nicest people I know live at Stotts Island - had a few good stays there!  Councill keep catching the fowls, and people keep dropping new ones there - I think they are unique!

Hello all
Did stop at Yelgun last night and was impressed with the set up and the trucks were not too bad.
Now at New Italy Rest area and apart from being on the h/w it is a good spot, but will know later when we try to sleep

Hello all
We did stay at New Italy and if you can sleep with a lot of road and truck noise then it is ok, otherwise not real good
