Wireless broadband
(Preview)
Any GNs using the "3" network so-called wireless broadband with a plug-in dongle? I've had it for some months now and while it is cheap, it's also bloody useless. Drops out every 15-20 minutes, meaning I have to log out, close the whole computer down and wait 10 minutes and then reboot the wh...

I need to replace the clutch release bearing in my diesel Pajero manual (90k on the clock) and it may make good sense to replace the clutch kit as well, depending on how much life is left in it. The vehicle is fitted with a dual mass flywheel that would have to...

Set top boxes
(Preview)
I have a 12 volt TV which has dodgy reception at times and need a set top box. Can a 240v box be used with a 12 volt TV? Have seen one at Dick Smith and they seem to think it OK, but sometimes they aren't as "Techie" as you lot. I have a 150 watt inverter when not on power. I know I can get a 12 volt STB on li...

RCDs & safety when using portable geny or inverter.
(

(Preview)
Hi all Since this is a tech thread ,I think it may be advisable to point out that your RCD in the van [if fitted] is inoperable & will not trip on a fault, when the van is connected to a portable geny or inverter via the inlet socket.
