Went to buy a new deep cycle 120AH van battery - knowing a lot of RV use the RITA brand battery, I had a look on the RITA web site and their detail papers show that a DC series is for marine , RV type use - when at the battery supplier they insisted that the RITA RA series was what went into RV use . The confusion fo...

I have a Coromal Magnum transformer. It has 2 drop down beds at each end. Before I ordered the van I had a go at lifting the base and could do it. Now travelling with Mum and with 2 beds, lifting them is hard yakka! I am installing a pulley system (and letting Coromal know!). I have the pulleys and the rope (f...

On Myrtle at the front on the bullbar is a strip of plumbers piping? with screw caps on the ends. I find I don't have anything to store in it. Today I saw on a friends van a neat tool box shape in the same place. It sat behind the top of the spare tyre and was still the length of the pipe on mine. I thought it what a...

I read about gas heaters on the forum recently - bottled gas with a radiator type thing and reflector on top. They're designed for outdoor use because, I imagine, a bottle of gas is not a good idea to be used indoors. But having a bottle outside and a gas stove inside is okay. Right? So what if the radiator/...

G'day folks A little piece of advice. Make sure that you carry the special socket with you if you have locking wheel nuts. This week seems to have been one big round of chiselling wheel nuts off because the owner didn't have, or know where the special tool was. At our workshop we carry some "speci...

You'd be surprised how much dust and 5h1t gets into the plug connectors. A good spray with an electrical connection cleaner does wonders for ensuring a good connection. CRC spray or WD40 also works a treat and keeps the pins nice and clean ready for the next hook-up. Mark

So my question is, providing they are empty, but with the possibility a very small...
