We have a ceramic heater with a thermometer and it heats ok but does not shut down as well as i would like it to so i thought is there such a thing as a thermometer plug, we could plug our heater into,that we could set as a high heat to switch off and a low heat setting to turn it back on

Portable 120 watt solar panel

I have brought a 120 watt folding solar panel , I have hooked it up via anderson plug to my caravan , With the multi meter the house battery has a reading of 12.5 volts , But the reading on the lead from the solar panel is 2.5 volts is this normal

We picked this up at a caravan show a few years back. It's the horizontal version of the old car scissor jack, it's job is to lock the wheels and act as a chock. How, Silly question really but would someone please tell me IN SIMPLE TERMS for a simple person what this black box is actually called and does I spose it's not a silly question really cos if I knew I wouldn't be asking. I call it a modulator but more than likely it's not. There are no lights or gauges etc...
