Now here's something new A Stove that uses twigs and also charges your I Pad
(Preview)
Not as cheap as the gravity light, but I thought that this was a very neat stove, not only does it boil 1 litre of water in 4 minutes, using only twigs, but also charges all those must have devices, while you wait for your meal to be cooked. http://biolitestove.com/ Cheers David

A Purpose-less un-productive Life Yes or No
(Preview)
Lets face it; we Grey Nomads lead a purpose-less non-productive life. We just slowly wonder around from town to town, looking but not seeing much due to our poor eyesight. In general terms we either receive Centre Link benefits (costing the tax payer) or if self-funded through the superannuatio...

Stung by Caravan Site Fees
(

(Preview)
We've been on the road now for just on 18 months, and do a bit of house sitting along the way to mix up our travels, get a feel for a particular area and also it prevents cabin fever being in the van 24/7! I'm guessing we've been pretty "lucky" up to this point, as it seems we've managed, (without r...

Do you have a budget while travelling?
(Preview)
So... Was reading the thread about high charges in some camp grounds and got me thinking... ( I know, it hurts... I try not to do it too often!)
Anyway, seems a lot are free camping ( ideally, that is what we wish to do) so that will save on camp site fees.
I also realise the less you travel around...
