With all this flooding on the road in Queensland not a good time to be traveling .The roads were just being fixed from the last flood every where we traveled last year road works were going on ,and some were long delays We usually travel in May I dont know about this year.
I will be heading Sth West Gipps Vic to Townsville and surrounds just after Easter via inland, hope to be in that area until at least June/July then head down the coast with a few small inland detours along the way so will take it easy and drive to conditions. I do anyway but a little extra care won't go a stray.

We went north last Easter Dougwe, had to detour quite substantially, the NSW roads were flooded in several places inland, and in Qld too. Think we might head west this year. Good luck, and keep us posted as you go?
Hi, We travelled to Gladstone today and apart from a few pot holes it was a great run. There is earth moving equipment on the sides of the road so expect road works wil be started again soon. but we have found them "not too bad". If you know to expect them what is the old saying "forewarned is forearmed". When stuck for 15 minutes get out the thermos and cake and take a break. fun travels.
