We are all told that the tow vehicle should be at least 10% heavier than the van we are towing and I don't doubt that for one moment. What I would like to know is the scientific reason a semi trailer prime mover can be less in weight that its trailer let alone with a B-Double or a Road Train. Just curious.

Just came across caravan rollover and the elderly couple are ok i heard. They were travelling south down hill. Ended up on the edge on the North bound lane. Tragic end to their travells. A reality check for sure. Cheers Stewart ill try and post picture but cant seem to by phone

Talking to a fellow the other day, a campervan towing a trailer. To get the trailer to clear the rear doors of the van, is using two tow bar extenders. To off set the added tow ball weight because of the extensions, he's going to put water tanks on the rear of the trailer. Will end up being quite a tidy rig.

Got a quote for a few days down along the Great Ocean road here in Vic.....$60 for a grassed power site, tried another park, $55. Not sure if we will go. May try free camping, except our van toilet doesn't work. Planning on going to far north QLD next year for four months, will be a big cost plus diesel. C...
