toilet talk - cassette vs. holding tank vs. composting vs. anything else
(Preview)
Hi and I'm keen to learn about toilets.
I've 2 slide-on campers in the sights.
Only one will be bought...
One has a holding tank and flushing toilet, the other a cassette type.
Should these differing types sway me either way?
I've never used either.
What works and what doesn't?
I'm intending l...

Second failure of BOS jockey wheel and more sturdy and reliable alternative
(Preview)
Hi all. I have persevered with my BOS 370 jockey wheel and now that the key pin in the operating parts has sheared twice, I have given up with it and thrown the whole thing in the bin in disgust. When it works it is very good but the basic design is flawed and even when using a clutched drill properly to rais...

About caravan park pricing
(
1 2 3
)
(Preview)
Just having spent a little time looking at cruise prices it became disconcertingly obvious that van parks dont offer much in the way of value for money compared with some other forms of holiday. I have found a 50 day holiday cruising the South Pacific for $10,000 - thats $200 per day, accommodation, f...

Diesel heater into compact Motorhome space
(Preview)
Has anyone fitted a 12v diesel heater into a fairly small compact place in their motorhome? How was this experience and what brand/model did you use? Would you recommend it? I am not looking to fit it myself and will be paying someone to do the job for me. Interested in your experiences. Cheers, Wayne

Where Do You Park Your Campervan (RV) when not in use?
(Preview)
Another Newbie question, sorry. I guess the reason I ask, is that I drive a 22 year old car, that still goes great. A Lexus ES300 I bought new. It's been garaged since new, so maybe that has helped keep it in good order. But a Campervan? That's not going to fit in the garage! Not even in the back/front yard...
