Hope that you feel better for pointing that out Walter, but I suspect that anyone silly enough to fork out $1/4 million for a Landrover would be more interested in impressing  the neighbours than towing with the real 4wds in the bush where it could get mud and scratches on its pretty paint work?  Cheers

Yobarr you are a tool. No wonder people get sick of your superior attitude when anyone challenges you.  You obviously dont get out enough to see what is around. There are many Rangies around. Indeed last weekend I was with 7 all towing vans  etc all doing 4WD  getting pin stripes etc., Stick to your so safe 70 series. I hope you dont get back problems and as I have told you before you cannot tow a 3.5T PIG trailer with your vehicle either. It is unsafe according to your understanding of weights!!

He has. He blamed work. Much more likely his tojo. IMO It gives you a ride like a bullock dray.

Once again your memory has failed you. Do you not recall claiming you'd never discussed an ATM upgrade with me and having me post screen shots of our PMs? My injury which you refer to as a back problem is, and always  was, a torn shoulder muscle probably as a result of the crazy weights I lifted in my youth, but exacerbated by recently throwing heavy spare trailer wheels around. Seems to catch up with you as you age. Broken ribs, replaced knuckles and worn rotator cuff injuries in the last couple of years. Should I have back problems in the years ahead it's more likely to be as a result of driving multi-trailer Roadtrains on mine roads than from driving my car. Cheers

Gee wiz, I apologise (something you wouldn't do) . I hope your workers comp claim was authorised without any stress. Just the same, take care when driving the toyo dray mate. Hard suspension is bad for back, damages the discs. And the damage in accumulative.

Thanks.  I am happy with the tow vehicle I decided on but just need to be constantly aware of added weights. Like most people, I periodically look at what stuff I can remove from the caravan to get the weight down.  I recently removed my Weber Q as I had never used it as I prefer my inverter grill which I can use outside and run off my inverter anytime.  This saved me 13.3 kg including the Weber slide. I also removed a box of bolts, nuts, washers etc etc that weighed 2.5 kls.  I still have a small container of these but no where near what I had before and I have only ever had to use screws and duct tape to repair most breakages.  I started with about 25kgs of tools but in time, reduced this to a small, plastic box with only essential items which weights 7 kgs. It is amazing how much weight you can shed when you need to.
