We have a fully enclosed tent/screen enclosure, can't you sew in a flap with Velcro where needed. Probably about half hour job by hand with needle & thread. An hour at worst.

My tent has a special area where a 240v line can feed through into the tent.

I cannot help but wonder why you do not take the flex in via the door and then do the zip up as far as possible?

I think he doesn't want to trip over it, which may happen as he is an elderly gentleman, as well as he doesn't want to walk on it. As I am a bit younger I would feed it in thru the front door, up against the zippered part and around the other side of the tent wall, ( left or right side). These are the things you should bring up when you buy a tent, or any product, but doing this, is rather an afterthought until you put your tent up. You should be able to replace/ return the tent, with one that has a cord inlet , they can be a bit dearer, but as you have sold your van, you may have a little bit extra cash to to it.

if some clever person can put a picture of a Weisshorn tent-c-ca4 on here it has on the left of the door a slanted piece of canvas that the cord goes through behind and it velcroes shut...so as i posted all is goodo
