Hi I live close to Greenhill Lake at Ararat and went for a drive to see how many caravans there and there was quite a few as it only costs $5 a night to camp there. I was very disappointed at one van that had pulled up next to a public picnic table and put there awning out over the top of it so no one else can use it t...

A big step forward this week - I'll be taking the Hino down to Brisbane for its conversion to a motorhome. Should take 4-6 weeks, but I'll still have to wait a while until I reach the magic age in September before walking through the playground's gate. new 'van warranty
(Preview)
We just bought a new Supreme 'van and have had the usual Aussie made problems with it. Sadly, the quality is not matched to the price we paid for it, but talking to independent caravan repairers, all of the 'van makers are pretty much the same - charge heaps and average to poor quality. Be aware that the w...

Maiden voyage
(Preview)
The caravan's been sitting at home for three months now with its only trip from the dealer to home. We set off tomorrow on the maiden voyage, just a couple of days to park on the banks of the Blackwood River, most probably Alexandra Road Bridge. I'm really looking forward to it.
