Maiden voyage

The caravan's been sitting at home for three months now with its only trip from the dealer to home. We set off tomorrow on the maiden voyage, just a couple of days to park on the banks of the Blackwood River, most probably Alexandra Road Bridge. I'm really looking forward to it.

How,

Sounds great Bryan, enjoy the playground and all it offers you. Most of all keep safe.

I was going to tell you to beware of wombat holes but decided not too.

The riverside campsite at Alexandra Bridge were all taken so we decided to head through to West Bay at Augusta.

It was a short 3 day trip and we arrived back home midday yesterday. Everything worked well, The toilet not flushing worried me for a while until I discovered that the tank was empty. I thought I had filled it before leaving home.

I am very happy with the combination tug and caravan. The ESC worked well and despite some very strong wind gusts on the way down, the van towed steady. Fuel consumption on the way down was 16.9 litres per 100 kms but this was due to headwinds as we got closer to Augusta. There and back (over 700 kms), consumption was 16.2 litres per 100 kms which I felt was good.

Did my husbandly duties by taking Kathy for a day at Margaret River on Friday. She loves the place for the same reason I hate it. Bustling with too many people.

Yeah Blue, I guess I never learn. Apart from a few Audis, all my cars have been Jeep. The one I loved the most was a 1948 CJ2A. Didn't buy it new

biggrin

This one is especially set up to tow the Goldstream
