I don't like the ball hitch - what's a better replacement?

Pretty much as the subject says: I do not have confidence in the standard ball hitch for my 2.7T caravan on bush roads or bumpy bitumen roads (especially those with "waves"!) and would like to replace it. Suggestions appreciated.
