We are planning a 5 week trip next month and thought of going from our home in Gympie to Alice and Uluru. Does anyone think this may be too much in the time we have and maybe suggest an alternative. The real reason you are not supposed to use tap water is that fresh tapwater has chlorine in it and if, like me, you fill your machine just before retiring for the evening the first thing to evaporate out of the water is the chlorine. Some people have had nasty turns from chlorine actually poisoning them...
