I have noticed that a number of CP's amenity blocks quite often have no plugs for the basins. I carry 3 different sized rubber plugs cut from old car tubes. The three sizes make it easier to fit any plug hole. They have come in handy many times. They don't leak either. ( Old army trick) Kevin

Spent the wet grey day driving around the Tweed Coast and looked at a couple of caravan parks, namely Fingal Head, Pottsville and Kingscliff and it seems that they all charge around $34-$45 per night for a powered site. I cant believe it!! Do they think it's Noosa or what? Maybe I need some ideas on free...

Gday... This determined old tree is at the bottom of the Gin Gin QLD cemetery. I couldn't tell for sure if it is a new shoot from the old stump or the result of a seed dropped by a bird ... but it certainly looked like it was a new shoot from the old stump. Cheers - John

After working for 3 months in Cobram, Victoria, the work ran out and it got cold so I've run up the middle to Darwin. A great trip that has taken me a month. The heat and humidity here is staggering but at least there are not the flies of Coober Pedy. The West Macs were awesome (I'm saving Uluru for a friend)....
