where can I get van wheel alignment between Kununurra & perth?

Goldstream 15 foot cutaway off road van with Cruise master independent suspension wearing one tyre unevenly, starting to scrub out. I'm having trouble finding anyone who will do a wheel alignment. Currently in Kununurra, heading slowly around WA coast to Melbourne. where can I get van wheel alignment between Kununurra & perth please?

Don't think you will, but if you are dropping by Broome I can probable do a roughy for you with a tape and some calculations. What are your bushes like, have you bent any thing. Pm me if you like.
cheers

I would think places like Port Hedland would have to be able to do that - mining town with thousands of vehicles. Or Tom Price, Karratha, Carnarvon, Geraldton.....

Hi
You can do a simple alignment check your self.
You need two 40 cm slide clamps, a piece of builders string, and a ruler/tape measure.

The clamps are clamped to each end of a chassis rail under one side of the caravan, with their shafts pointing horizontally to the outside of the body of the van.
String a horizontal string line along the side of your van, outside of the wheels, by stretching the string between the shaft ends of the two slide clamps. Check the string is equidistant from the chassis rail at each end.

Measure from the string to the front and rear of the tyre. Any difference is the tow in or out of that wheel. 1 mm to 2mm difference is OK.
If there is significant difference, a worn neoprene bush in the trailing arm may be the problem. Check if the trailing arm can wobble sideways, unloaded if possible.

You can get replacement concentric, or adjustable (eccentric), trailing arm bushes, by post from Vehicle Components in Brisbane.

If the axle is bent, you would probably need an engineering shop to straighten it.
