For those thinking about buying clear view mirrors for their tug, I suggest buying the black ones rather than the dressier chrome. Those that already have a chrome set put a strip of black tape along the top bar on each side. That will stop the sun from reflecting into your eyes like mine does! Murray

I am considering wallpapering the bedroom in our RV. Would I be smart by using a sealer like Gripper on the veneer before glueing the wallpaper. I was thinking the Gripper sealer would help the glue to stick better. Appreciate all input on this. Thanks The Blackies

If you have a split system Herron Air command or similar and have an unexplained draught whistling around, have a look at where the two white insulated pipes enter and exit the van. Ours had a 'mistake hole " of 50mm, plus the one they used drilled through bottom of cupboard wall next to rear of unit. A cle...

I'm a total newbie and learning the traditional way by trial and (lots of) error. The single-axle caravan comes with three 95-litre potable water tanks and one grey water tank. Each tank can be filled separately. Any one can then be used for in-caravan use. Two tanks are in front of the axle with one beh...

I got this idea from another vaner. The solenoids were from Bunnings made for garden water systems. The wiring is not polarity specific, as long as you do each one the same, and just put a 2 way switch in the van or 3 separate switch for 3 tanks.I installed them in the default closed position. The extra lo...

There is a web site, Camplify, where you can hire out your rig when you are not using it. Hi All, Thought I'd share this with you. On a recent trip we had no gas in the van, therefore no fridge, no hot water, no stove, unhappy SWMBO. Tried the following: 1. Swap bottles 2. Checked operation of change over valve. Still no success. Determined regulator was blocked ( 10 years of faithful servi...

Hi I am just so sick of the toilet roll unravelling when the van is on the move. Nothing seems to work, and an elastic band is just a pain. So... I have come up with the answer and I'm looking for a couple of volunteers, who are about to hit (or are on) the road and are willing to roadtest and give me some feed...
