We used a dishwasher tablet , just damp, use like a pencil rubber, cold oven, keep working around, wipe off grunge,Voila. ( finish brand with red centre ball) . No smell either. Gloves of course.

Replacing old push puttons from cupboard catches .

Replaced catches in motorhome. Hope this helps others . Here I used 3/8 drive 3/4 socket to hit out on push in surround . After takeing two screws out to remove catch . The pushed new surround in door or drawer . Screws button on catch . Assemble . Done . Good for another ten or so years ..
