hi noticed driving around the suburbs a lot of caravans parked up at home for a few weeks still on the flat.
I would suggest jacking up,on blocks off the ground .This would save heartache Tyres having flat spot plus flat spot possible on wheel bearings.Bit of advice ex mech

BTW, I thought that I had a flat spot on the original tyres on the Patrol. Used to go 'thump thump' as I drove quietly around the 'burbs. Turned out to be the tread separating on a very old tyre, as I found out when it almost peeled off at highway speed. 'Thump thump' turned into a 'thunk thunk - bang bang'. Oops!
Lifting up the van makes it easy to check the undercarriage, brakes & suspension. If it solves a real or imagined tyre issue then that's a bonus.
Whilst I agre lots of vans are seen parked up in the suburbs and even in country areas, some obviously are granny flat alernatives and often have the wheels off and are on stands all around.
But the real obvious solution is keep getting out there as frequently as possible.
Hi Cupie. Have only used Coopers atr tyres on Patrol from new.Only one flat off slow leak coming from Mt Augustus to Gascoyne Junction ,changed Wheel in service station

Yep, after that episode with the Bridgestones that were on the GQ when I got it, I changed to Coopers & had great service & mileage from 2 sets, until I went for cheaper ones (probably the last set?) General Grubers .. OK so far but little work.
Only problem with the Coopers was a stake thru one on Kangaroo Is. & ripped out a lump of tread from one on a creek crossing near Wilpenna Pound. (Poor driving -- 2WD out of a dry rocky section & too much R foot).
hi Cupie.That was on a tack along trip.Just had tent then .Started from Mt Newman to the Rudall River National park.via Talawana track turn up to White gums bore
then on to the Desert queen baths. Slow and steady rough track .6 vehicles .Was tail end Charlie chap 3 vehicle ahead came c.b loud bang noise .Driviing jeep cherokey
blew rear shockie oil on exhaust.We had to share his load around the rest of group.Up to Telfer mine road part of the trip to use it.On to Carawine gorge the on to Marble
Bar down to Nullagine on back to Newman and across to Mt Augustus then via Cobra Station to Gascoyne junction/Cararvon/Perth.
trip took 3 weeks REALLY GREAT .Any body going on this sort of trip.GOOD TYRES/SHOCKIES AND A GOOD COMPRESOR take care roker
