We are planning to go to Mackay area coming from the NT in Feb next year, towing the van and I know nothing about this area or road conditions is it flat hilly narrow and would it be ok for our old Pajero with 16 foot pop top behind? all answers greatly appreciated... just arrived here in Barcaldine in the middle of a storm -wet everywhere and a very wet campsite. Can anyone let me know an updated road report to Longreach and what are the conditions like in the camp sites.
