GWYDIR HWY,, Grafton to Glen innes,


howdy all.am seeking opinions on the above hwy for 2.3t van towd by 4wd. best to go Grafton Glen or do reverse coming down. I am aware of the steepness of the gwydir..thanks..Merry Christmas to all...cheers Crocodile.

Hi Croc

With your experience as a transport driver it will be a pleasant Sunday drive, Not a lot of traffic but there is traffic, you will meet some big ones carting stock down to various meat works.

I have been up and down it a number of times, coming down the range was the only part I remember that I needed some caution.

Full country highway construction along the length. Gradients of up to 8% so your rig should cope ok. As a truck driver you wil know how to descend hills.
