Diesel Heater in Auto Mode

Has anyone had any success in running their chinese heater in auto mode, I run mine on manual No 1 setting (lowest setting ) but you have to open a window or 2 as it gets too hot. I have tried auto mode set on 22 deg but it just keeps running, the van would get to over 40 deg if I didn't turn it off. What is supposed...

Is the purpose of reducing the tyre pressure on a touring van when driving on gravel or dirt roads so you can continue driving at 80-100 km/h or do you reduce the tyre pressure and then reduce your speed to 40-60 km/h anyway?
