I thought I read in this forum, that somewhere in Alice Springs (McDonald Ranges) where you could camp and do voluntary work to cover some of your cost ( the same as the transport museum.) Can someone direct me to the correct site please?

Update on Home Hill Showground. At Council meeting today, HH showground has been given a reprieve, and will remain open - for who knows how long. They apparently want a 4day stay for travelers and a limit of 30 vans per night, unless prIor notice of a rally etc which may have more vans/motorhomes attend...
